"The Nice International Fair is going to celebrate its 80th anniversary"... and it has nothing to do with the Côte d'Azur Fair which is held at the Nice national interest market

Each has its own location. MIN d'Azur for the Côte d'Azur Fair, which is currently being held there until September 15, and the exhibition center for the Nice International Fair, next March.
The two events have nothing to do with each other. They each follow a separate management structure: Nice Organisation for the Côte d'Azur Fair and Nicexpo for the Nice International Fair.
However, some people in Nice are confusing things and believe that this new autumn fair of the national interest market (MIN) has replaced the historic spring fair with its swimming pools, decorations, health and well-being items, wines, cars, etc. Despite some similarities in the products presented, we are in two different worlds.
The Côte d'Azur Fair is new to the trade fair scene. The Nice International Fair is still here, and Thomas Gheerbrant, the new CEO of Nicexpo, the organizing association, takes the opportunity to share some information that will delight fans of this event, which has been going on for decades.
Indeed, "The Nice International Fair will celebrate its 80th anniversary and will blow out its 80 candles from March 7 to 16, 2026," announces Thomas Gheerbrant. Obviously, the site has changed. It has shrunk. Spaces like the Esplanade de Lattre de Tassigny or the Acropolis Palace, which hosted the Bâtir trade show, have disappeared. Leading to changes: "We have refocused the fair through Nicexpo, whose idea is to organize events that promote the region, but whose financial objective is not essential."
“Do something festive again”The Nice International Fair is less profitable. "But we're keeping it going, and next March, it will have the 1980s as its theme. Joyful years of freedom. The idea is to create something festive again with events within the event itself."
Rethink the theme. Consider another location: "We have the constraint of the exhibition center being transformed, eventually, into an arts center. We still have two years ahead of us - 2026 and 2027 - to reinvent ourselves by finding another location, another format, another approach."
He continues: "Today, there are a lot of offers and we also do business from our sofas, so we need something else. Hence the desire to boost events. My wish is to make Nicexpo a tool available to the people of the Côte d'Azur by responding to their needs by involving, for example, cultural associations..."
